₺3 Million Grant from TÜBİTAK to ESOGÜ-ESTEM Stem Cell Project

Under the TÜBİTAK 1004 Center of Excellence Support Program within the scope of the "High Technology Platforms Call," the project "Development of a Desktop Module Device for 3D Cell and Organ Culture on a Multi-Chip Platform" has been approved for funding. Ankara University (Project Code: 20AG031) coordinates the research program, while ESOGÜ-ESTEM Stem Cell Center serves as the implementing institution.

Assoc Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Avcı, affiliated with the ESTEM Center and the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, will lead the project. The research team includes Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayla Eker Sarıboyacı and Asst. Prof. Dr. Onur Uysal from ESTEM, as well as Asst. Prof. Dr. Hamed Ghorbanpoor from the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Additionally, an interdisciplinary team will carry out the project in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Hakan Gaşan and MMD Machinery and Material Technologies R&D Consulting Engineering Services Industry and Trade Ltd. Co. Upon completion, the project aims to develop a high-tech medical device capable of sustaining micro-artificial organs, marking a first in Türkiye.
